Overview
Initial board review for paramedics on or supporting tactical teams. We work the TP-C content outline, built on the 17 domains of the National TEMS Initiative and Council, drawing on TCCC, TECC, ACLS and PHTLS or ITLS standards, with time on tactical medicine, combat casualty care and austere and remote medicine. The IBSC exam is 135 items (125 scored) in 2.5 hours, and the certification is valid for four years. The hybrid option adds an in-person skills day at our training center. The IBSC exam fee is not included. Our IBSC Approved Review Course application is pending, so this course is exam preparation only.

- IBSC exam eligibility (set by IBSC): a current, unrestricted paramedic license or certificate; IBSC also expects knowledge of current TCCC and TECC guidelines

Questions About This Course
No. You apply for the TP-C exam and pay IBSC directly. IBSC lists the fee at $285 for affiliate members and $385 for non-members on its 2026 fee schedule. IBSC sets eligibility and testing options, and we do not administer or score IBSC exams.
Yes, on the hybrid option: two live remote class days plus one in-person skills day in the simulation lab at our training center. IBSC exams are knowledge exams with no skills station, so the skills day is for your practice, not an IBSC requirement.
Not toward the approved review course requirement. When you recertify TP-C by continuing education, IBSC requires 16 of your hours to come from a course on its approved review list. Our IBSC Approved Review Course application is pending, and until IBSC lists us this course does not meet that requirement. Check with IBSC before counting any of our hours toward recertification. IBSC's 2026 TP-C handbook also accepts the NAEMT TCCC course for 16 of your recertification hours.
