Overview
Hourly time in a prehospital skills bay stocked with airway heads, IV and IO arms, CPR manikins with feedback and a simulated monitor and defibrillator. You run your own practice. Staff set up the bay and give a short safety orientation on your first visit, but nobody coaches or signs off skills. Book 2 to 4 consecutive hours inside an open-lab block and tell us which course you are practicing for so the right gear is out when you arrive. Each bay takes up to two learners, and each learner books their own hours.
What You Will Practice
- Rehearse the psychomotor skills from your current course on the matching task trainers
- Build compression depth and rate using CPR manikins with real-time feedback
- Practice airway, vascular access and monitor skills at your own pace
- Arrive at your course skills session or exam with recent hands-on reps
Who It Is For
EMR, EMT, AEMT and paramedic students, NREMT candidates, nurses and hospital providers, and anyone enrolled in a Code Blue course who wants more reps.
Prerequisites
- A current EMS, nursing or other healthcare credential, or current enrollment in or completion of a healthcare training course
- Lab safety orientation on your first visit (about 10 minutes, included)

Questions About This Session
No. Open lab is self-directed practice. Staff set up the bay and can point you to equipment, but they do not coach or verify skills. Book a coached session if you want feedback.
Equipment use without an operator is taxable. Open lab time is equipment use, so sales tax is added to the hourly price. Sessions where one of our educators coaches you for the whole booking, such as coached skills sessions and megacode prep, count as instruction, so no sales tax is added to them.
Yes. Each bay fits two learners. Each person books their own hours so we know how many people are in the lab.
Open a lab session and select Book Lab Time, or Reserve Spot for a scheduled lab, then pay on our secure payment page by card or bank account (ACH). Paying online adds a processing fee, and you see the exact total before you pay. Your time is confirmed as soon as the payment goes through. Lab time is paid online. For a scheduled lab you can also reserve your spot, then contact us to pay by card over the phone or an agency purchase order. If no time works for you, request one.
Cancellation and reschedule terms depend on the session type and are shown before you reserve. Contact us as early as you can and we will help you move to another open time.
